Woocommerce to Shopify migration

From This…

Black Dog LED Before

…To This!

Logo Shirts Direct reached out to us to migrate their existing WordPress and WooCommerce based website to Shopify. As part of this was also did a redesign their dated website so we could move them to a new Shopify theme. Our team met with them and discussed what direction they wanted to go for an updated design. We also discussed possible new functionality for the website.

While the mockups for the Shopify design were being worked on our team handled the data migration for the client. We moved over all of their customers, orders, products, categories and more to the new Shopify site. Then we reviewed the data with them to update it where necessary and clean up any issues.

Once the mockups were approved, the internal team worked on developing the content for the new site. Our team handled ingratiation with various third party services and the set up of plugins which allowed for short run fees, plus size fees, and more.

When both sides were done we launched the new website with a impressive increase in both rankings and site speed.

Data Migration to Shopify

Our text extracted all of the data needed from the WordPress database and reformated it to be imported into Shopify. We also cleaned up a fair amount of data in the process, such as eleminating fields that were no longer used, so that what is in Shopify now is exactly what their team needs.

Shopify Redesign

Our team helped the client select a theme and then develop mockups using the many sections already available in the theme. This way we were able to keep costs low while also customizing some key elements the client wanted for their new website.

Special Pricing

Our team helped the client implement custom code to allow for short rush fees, tiered pricing structures, rush service fees and discounts on bulk purchases.

Launch

When it came time to go live our team helped the client do a final data import and update all of their DNS to launch the website. After launch we monitored their performance across Google Analytics, Google Search Console and other services to ensure the new website was performing as expected.

Customizer for Shopify Product Page

Custom Order Features

Cadence worked with the client to develop a new customizer for their Shopify product pages. This customizer allows a user to upload a logo, select where they would like their logo to be shown and includes the ability for them to make additional design decisions.

To do this we used both a plugin from the Shopify store and did a custom implementation of the plugin within the new Shopify theme. This allowed us to display the options the client wanted in a user friendly layout, rather than inside a popup or on a third party website.

Having all of the options on one screen makes it easy for users to select their colorway, sizes and select their logo for embroidery all in one place!
