How to install the Pinterest Tag Extension

Configure the Pinterest Tag Extension
First, you’ll need to set up a Pinterest Tag by going to: https://ads.pinterest.com/conversion_tags/
From here click on Create Tag, then name you tag and click “Generate Code”. Now you should see a screen with your Pinterest Tag code. In red letters your Tag ID will be highlighted. Copy your Tag ID for the next step.
After the extension is installed, log into your Magneto admin panel and go to Stores -> Configuration -> Cadence Labs: Pinterest Tag. Copy and paste your Tag ID into the corresponding Tag ID field. Then enable the Visitor Pixel for general tracking. From here you can also turn on tracking for the Add to Cart event and Checkout event. Both of these are optional but do need to be enabled to track these events.
