How to install the Pinterest Tag Extension
First you’ll need to download the extension from Magento Connect. From there, log into your Magento admin panel to install the extension. Go to System -> Magento Connect-> Magento Connect Manager and log in again. From here copy and paste in the Extension Key from our Pinterest Tracking Pixel Extension page and Install the extension. Next you’ll need to clear your Magento cache and log out of Magento.

Configure the Pinterest Tag Extension
First, you’ll need to set up a Pinterest Tag by going to: https://ads.pinterest.com/conversion_tags/
From here click on Create Tag, then name you tag and click “Generate Code”. Now you should see a screen with your Pinterest Tag code. In red letters your Tag ID will be highlighted. Copy your Tag ID for the next step.
After the extension is installed, log into your Magneto admin panel and go to System -> Configuration -> Cadence Labs: Pinterest Tag. Copy and paste your Tag ID into the corresponding Tag ID field. Then enable the Base Tag.
From here you can also turn on tracking for the Add to Cart event and Checkout event. Both of these are optional but do need to be enabled to track these events.
